Location: Unique Photo (123 US Highway 46 West, Fairfield, NJ 07004)

We’ll cover the unique photographic problems that arise when shooting photos that will be used for real estate marketing: shooting in a confined space, interior lighting problems, photo editing problems that arise from using ultra-wide-angle lenses, and working under tight time constraints.

We will take a look at why good real estate photographs are important. We will also go over how to simplify rooms and further simplify the image. The class will work with different lighting situations to arrive at a solution that best suits their needs. And we will look at how real estate photographs are used and what the most important shots are.

This course assumes that you know the basics of photography, how to handle and operate a camera, and the basics of digital photography.

This course is held in the classroom at Unique Photo, 123 US Highway 46 (West), Fairfield, NJ 07004. You will benefit by bringing your basic photographic gear. Weather permiting, you will have an opportunity to photograph outside.

ABOUT HEAD INSTRUCTOR MICHAEL DOWNEY

Michael is the Head Instructor of Unique University.  He currently owns and operates Michael Downey Photography, Inc. out of Somerville, New Jersey.  He has photographed hundreds of moderate to high-end weddings throughout the northeast.  He also teaches regularly during photowalks and workshops.  His images can be seen at New Century Artist Art Gallery in the Chesea section of Manhattan.
