Understanding the basics of exposure and metering are the building blocks to becoming a good photographer. This course will teach you these fundamental basics of photography such as the relationship between f-stops and shutter speeds, as well as understanding the positives and negatives of ISO/ASA sensitivity with your image sensor.
How your cameras metering system works, metering modes, scene modes, advantages of RAW versus JPEG image files, interpreting the histogram, exposure compensation, manual controls and much more will all be discussed!
This course is held in the classroom at Unique Photo, 123 US Highway 46 (West), Fairfield, NJ 07004. You will benefit by bringing your basic photographic gear. Weather permiting, you will have an opportunity to photograph outside.
ABOUT HEAD INSTRUCTOR MICHAEL DOWNEY
Michael is the Head Instructor of Unique University. He currently owns and operates Michael Downey Photography, Inc. out of Somerville, New Jersey. He has photographed hundreds of moderate to high-end weddings throughout the northeast. He also teaches regularly during photowalks and workshops. His images can be seen at New Century Artist Art Gallery in the Chesea section of Manhattan.
